Text message marketing is sweeping it's way across the nation, and for good reason. Now, it's finding practical uses here in the Denver market.

In a down economy, text message marketing offers some inherent advantages to help small businesses retain and optimize customers at a relatively low cost.

First, text message marketing allows Denver small businesses to quickly implement value-based customer offers - influencing short & long-term buying decisions.

A good example is a restaurant that wishes to boost a slow lunch rush. The restaurant could offer a 'Buy One Get One Free' lunch special good only for that day - and send it to their opted-in customer base at 10:30 AM - as the lunch dining decision for the day is being made.

Second, text message marketing is well received and offers response rates that are multiples higher than traditional direct marketing. This can be attributed to two factors:
1)Text message marketing campaigns are opt-in by nature. Generally, a customer texts a keyword to a certain short code in order to be included in special offers that an establishment wishes to send.
2)Text messages are a highly visible form of communication. Over 95% of all text messages sent are read by their recipient, compared to less than 7% for traditional direct mail and email marketing campaigns.

Text message marketing is easy to execute, costs less, and provides a better response rate. It's no wonder that it's gaining momentum in the US and in the Denver market in particular.
